Mini Beasts

This kit has been in my childrens cupboard for about 15 years! They did a few stitches here and there in their favourite colours but no-one completed these beautiful little creatures.

The kit was produced by Twilleys of Stamford, who still produce craft kits for children today. This one is called Creative Craft Cases - Tapestry, and is designed for ages 6 and up.

The kit contains everything you need: aida/canvas, needles, coloured wool and card.

The instructions are clear and easy to follow and each insect is printed onto the stiff aida/canvas. All you need to do is select the right coloured wool and sew half stitches to fill the design.

French knots, back stitch and long stitch are required to complete the features of each animal.

I completed the spider first - my children had already done some of this!
